Samiul Mashooq Antony believes in simplicity, sincerity, and a life lived with purpose. He sees life as a journey best experienced without unnecessary complexity, but with depth, creativity, and meaningful human connection.
A musician, author, and accomplished sales and business development professional, Antony brings together the discipline of corporate life with the imagination of an artist and the voice of a writer.
His life has always been rich with diversity and movement. Alongside education and professional growth, he has pursued music and literature with passion. In his earlier years, he was also a football player, stage actor, and poetry reciter — each chapter adding colour, confidence, and expression to his personality.
Born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Antony is currently based in Melbourne, Australia, where he continues to explore his creative, professional, and personal journey.

Education
Samiul Mashooq Antony started his school life in Sacred Heart Tutorial as a kinder. Then he moved to “University Laboratory School” for couple of years.
In class 3, he got admitted in “Engineering University School” and completed his SSC in 1996.
During school life he actively participated in Football playing and Scouting. Also he involved in Debate and Music as a Drummer.
After schooling he got admitted in “Notre Dame College” and his debating and Musical journey continued.
He was also active in “Poetry Recitation Club” during college days. He completed his HSC in 1998.
After his College, he got confused and joined Engineering, but felt Engineering is not for him. So after an year he left Engineering and Science education for good and got admitted in “American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB)” in BBA curriculum. He successfully completed his bachelors majoring in Marketing.
His University life too, is full of activities like Debating, Musical events arrangements, sports etc.
He has also completed Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice from Real Estate Academy Australia in 2025

Dark Fate
Antony started playing Hawaiian Guitar at the age of 11 and continued till age 14.
At the age of 14 he started playing Drums and still continuing.
He started his band music career with “Igneous” in Dhaka. Then the band named “Dark Fate”. He actively played in many concerts and recordings.
Nova
He took a pause in music after that and then joined legendary band “Nova”.
With Nova, he played in many concerts and TV shows.
The Silent Tribe
After that, he joined “The Silent Tribe”, a Corporate Band who used to cover English songs, along with some own numbers.
The remarkable achievement with “The Silent Tribe” is to make a new song with music video on Rana Plaza incident. The money earned from the song and music video was donated to support Rana Plaza victims.
Tarun Band
After Silent Tribe journey, Antony joined “Tarun Band” with the legendary Lyricist and composer Tarun Munshi, his cousin with Tarun Band,
Aside of participating in many concerts and TV shows, a new song and music video was released with Antony’s active participation, naming “Oboni Bari Acho”.
Ghunpoka
After Tarun band Antony took a break and joined “Ghunpoka” and still continuing musical journey as Drummer. “Ghunpoka” is a different tone based musical band who possess similar musical philosophy like Antony.
Multiple Bands and Session Artist in Melbourne
Since relocating to Australia, Antony has continued to expand his musical journey in Melbourne, working with various bands and solo artists as a drummer and percussionist.
As a session musician, he brings versatility, discipline, and rhythmic depth to live performances, studio recordings, and collaborative music projects across Australia.
Soultone
Samiul Mashooq Antony has been a brand ambassador for Soultone Cymbals since 2025, representing the brand as part of his ongoing journey as a drummer and percussionist.

2004
Samiul Mashooq (Antony) started his career officially as a Call Center Agent under Customer Care Division in Citycell back in 2004.
2005
He changed his track from customer care to Sales in 2005 joining Corporate Sales in same organization.
2006
He moved to Grameenphone in 2006 and continued his journey in Corporate Sales and Business Sales division in different mid-senior to Senior roles and responsibilities.
2011
Samiul Mashooq left Grameenphone and joined back Citycell in 2011 taking charge of SME Division as a Head of Department.
2014
He left Citycell and changed his working track from Telecommunication to Electronics. He joined “Samsung Electronics” under Electronics Division.
2015
He again changed his track from Electronics to E-Commerce industry, “DARAZ Bangladesh”. A very happening one year journey with Daraz gave him the opportunity to launch and establish B2B concept in e-commerce industry from scratch.
2016
He joined Telecommunication “Value Added Support (VAS)” industry in Bangla Track Miaki VAS Ltd.”
2026
Samiul Mashooq Antony joined the Flooring Division of Harvey Norman, one of Australia’s most prominent multinational retail brands, widely recognized for its strong presence in furniture, bedding, computers, consumer electronics, home appliances, and flooring solutions.
This role marks another important step in Antony’s professional journey, strengthening his experience in sales, customer service, product knowledge, retail operations, and business development within the Australian retail industry.
2017
He again joined back in “Samsung Electronics” with additional roles and responsibilities.
2025
Joined in Real Estate Industry as Real Estate Sales Agent in “Gold4Life Real Estate”.
Also working as a Retail Sales Consultant in Vodafone, the finest Telecommunication operator in Australia.

Samiul Mashooq Antony began writing during his early school years, gradually developing his voice through college magazines and literary contributions. Over time, his passion for writing expanded into newspapers, where he contributed as a writer, as well as online blog platforms during the early days of the internet.
Antony continues to write actively through social media, particularly on his Facebook profile, where he shares reflections, observations, and creative expressions with his readers. Since 2021, he has also stepped into published authorship, releasing three books across different years.
